Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Our commitment

The Croman family wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to view Michael Croman's paintings and ask about them. We are working to make this website easy to use with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, and other assistive technology.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We have not had the site formally audited, so we describe this as a goal, not a guarantee of full conformance.

What we do

  • Describe each painting in text for screen reader users, and give every image a short alternative description.

  • Use clear headings and a consistent layout so pages are easy to scan and navigate.

  • Choose text and background colors with enough contrast to read comfortably.

  • Make links, buttons, and menus usable with a keyboard alone.

  • Label every field on the inquiry form.

  • Write in plain language.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Painting images. Michael's work is highly textured and abstract, so a short description cannot capture it all. We are adding fuller descriptions, and you can ask us for more detail about any painting.

  • Wix platform. The site is built on Wix.com. Some page elements, such as the cookie notice or the form, come from Wix and may have issues we cannot change directly.

  • Third-party content. Embedded or linked content from other sites, such as social media, is outside our control.

Feedback and contact

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or want a painting described in more detail, please tell us by using our contact form on this website. Include the page address and what got in the way, and we will reply within 5 business days and work with you to find a solution.

If we can't resolve your concern, you may also contact the Washington State Office of the Attorney General or the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.
